Become an Affiliate

Musicians for a Cause Affiliates give their time to help nonprofit organizations
bring life to their cause through music. You can offer to become an affiliate and
participate in a project to support a nonprofit organization. If you're a songwriter,
musician, group or other music industry professional please consider becoming
an Musicians for a Cause Affiliate.

When an organization requests a song, our initial course of action is to work with
a local songwriting organziation affiliate. These affiliates engage their members
who are interested in supporting the cause as a community service project. We'll
also draw on our base of individual affiliates as necessary to support a project.

Being an affiliate means that you're willing to donate at least 10 hours per year in
support of a cause. You may be asked to write a song, provide tracks for a song,
provide studio time, or some other service. There's no guarantee that you'll
become involved in a project, but we'll add your information to our database and
your skills and talents will be reviewed as projects become available.

From time to time we may contact you when we have a situation where your
skills could help. If you can offer assistance that's great, if you can't at that time,
that's ok too - it's all voluntary. Everything is on a best-effort, volunteer basis and
you can pass on a project for any reason.

If you're a songwriter and want to take on a project, please realize that it may
sometimes take 3 times the effort you expect, but it will also be 10 times more
rewarding then you ever imagined! All affiliates are given visibility and recognition
for their work through the nonprofit organization benefiting from their effort.

All affiliates can use the Musicians for a Cause Affiliate Logo. Also, we strive
to provide quality work and may ask for some evidence of professional level skills.
