Songwriters and musicians are very passionate people, as are those who work in support of
worthy causes. We believe that "when you engage people through their passion, good things
happen!"

If you're a nonprofit organization and want to use music to help bring visibility and support to
your cause, we can help. Musicians for a Cause provides songs that are customized for your
mission by engaging independent songwriters across the country. We sponsor a song contest
and partner with industry organizations to reach out to over 400,000 songwriters and
musicians around the world to find the best songs for your project.

The contest allows us to deliver custom songs whose primary association is with your
organization - bringing life to your cause. Songs can be used in a music slide show or video
that conveys the mission of your organization, or simply be used in a media player on your
website. They can also be used at events and sold via digital download as a fundraiser. Having
your own song ensures that every time someone hears it on their CD or mp3 player, they
think of your organization.

We'll work with you to identify any topics, themes or inspirational stories to present to the
songwriters to ensure the focus is on obtaining songs that are inspired by the work done by
your organization. We'll acquire the initial recordings, lyric sheets and inspiration notes from
each participant and submit the top entries to you for review and final selection. Our goal is to
provide you with songs that tugs at heart strings and create an emotional bond between the
listener and your organization.

In general the songs come from independent artists, and in many cases it's the same aritsts
whose songs are used in today's TV shows and movie productions. We accept both
professional quality and draft recordings from songwriters and we'll arrange to have
professional recordings that are 'radio ready' as part of the service. Within reason we'll also
assist in re-writing songs as necessary and we'll provide you with the licensing you need to
use the them in support of your effort.

Although many artists will be interested in participating just from having the opportunity to
have their music contribute to a worthy cause, the winning songwriter will receive a cash prize
as incentive for participating. One of the key issues in attracting participants is to be able to
tell them what kind of exposure they'll receive and a plan of how that will happen. The more
exposure we can provide, the more incentive artists will have to participate.

Exposure could come in the form of email distribution to your supporters, the employees and
patrons of any sponsors, distribution to membership lists, as well as any advertising, etc. You
can also engage local businesses, civic organizations, churches, schools, etc. to sell songs
as a fundraiser on your behalf and increase the exposure.

We charge a nominal fee for this service and to cover our expenses. The cost can be covered
by a sponsor who can also get visibility and goodwill through the contest. Please understand
that we can only take on a limited number of projects at a time.
